At 09:11 on Wednesday, 11 March, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Snailbeach.

4 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit and the Pinzgauer were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Church Stretton and Minsterley. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Knapsacks
• Shovels/Forks/Brooms

Deep seated fire on hill knapsacks and shovels in use to damp down and dig out.
