At 23:37 on Sunday, 25 September, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Oakengates.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Telford Central.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Fire involving small hatchback car. Two hose reel jets, 2 breathing apparatus and foam in use. This incident is not believed to be suspicious.
