At 05:58 on Friday, 3 March, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as LGV Fire in Shrewsbury.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Highways Agency and the Police.

Fire involving engine compartment of one Large Goods Vehicle. Fire out on arrival. Oil spillage affecting both lanes of carriageway.
