At 03:48 on Friday, 19 May, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury .

4 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Main jet

Approximately 200 tyres alight in the open. Crews are using 2 main jets and the pumping unit to extinguish and damp down the fire
