At 14:21 on Monday, 9 February, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Market Drayton.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Hodnet and Market Drayton. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters

Fire involving 200 x 20 M of cut Elephant Grass - fire extinguished with beaters and use of farm machinery to create fire breaks.
