At 16:42 on Sunday, 23 August, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Persons Trapped In Soft Ground in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

2 Persons trapped on soft ground. Thorough search carried of river bank from Sydney Avenue to 500m past Telford Way no sign of persons trapped. Shropshire Council in attendance closing footpath.
