At 08:32 on Saturday, 7 January, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury.

3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Ten month old heifer stuck rescued from slurry pit by crews using specialist animal rescue equipment. Heifer now in car of vet.
