At 14:26 on Sunday, 12 February, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Smoke In Area in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

This incident was a false alarm caused by a controlled burn, advice was given to the occupiers

Build bonfires well clear of buildings and never use flammable liquids to start the fire. Before you light the bonfire, check that children and animals are not hiding inside and are a safe distance away. Don't leave bonfires unattended. Don't light bonfires in unsuitable weather conditions.
