At 21:10 on Saturday, 23 June, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Barnmeadow Road, Newport.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Newport.

Garden fire which became out of control causing damage to fence panels, hedgerow and trees in garden. 1 hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera used to extinguish fire and check for any further hot spots.
