At 13:27 on Monday, 30 December, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire.

2 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Buckets of water
  • Chimney rods
  • Hosereel jet
  • Stirrup pump

Fire involving chimney of domestic property. Crews used the aerial ladder platform to access the chimney safely, together with one hose reel jet, chimney rods and stirrup pump.

Make sure you have your chimney swept at least once a year.
