Fire In Open

At 14:30 on Friday, 29 May, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

4 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit, the Light Pumping Unit, the Pinzgauer and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Craven Arms, Telford Central and Wellington. Operations and Hazmat officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet

Fire involving shrubland. Three appliances are currently in attendance dealing with the fire, together with off road vehicles for access.
