At 12:33 on Friday, 19 June, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Melverley, Oswestry .

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Baschurch and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Chimney rods

Chimney fire involving wood burning stove. Chimney gear, thermal image camera and knapsack sprayer in use in use.
