At 19:52 on Sunday, 30 August, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Much Wenlock.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

1 unattended bonfire in open, extinguished using equipment from 4x4 offroad vehicle, draghooks and small tools.
