At 04:51 on Sunday, 4 April, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Shrewsbury.

7 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch, Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Wellington and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Positive Pressure Ventilation

Fire involving large barn, approx. 50m x 80m, four breathing apparatus, three hose reel jets and positive pressure ventilation fans in use
