Residents of Much Wenlock are invited to 'walk in' and 'log on' to learn about using the internet at the launch of the new Community Broadplace at the Fire Station, Smithfield Road, Much Wenlock at 12.00 noon Saturday 9th December.

A Terrier has been rescued by Firefighters after spending four nights trapped beneath a neighbour's garden shed in Pulley Lane, Shrewsbury.

Freddie, an 18 month old Border Terrier, went missing last Friday whilst out walking in Bayston Hill with owners Martin and Andrea Parrish. They become concerned when he did not return with their other dog, Pikey and continued frantically searching for him throughout the weekend.

A tiny terrier was rescued by firefighters after becoming trapped and spending nearly 24 hours in a rabbit hole.

Minty went missing at 4pm on Tuesday whilst chasing rabbits in Neens Sollar, Cleobury Mortimer. Owner Angela Bettison returned home after spending hours looking for her pet and continued her search the next morning before calling the fire service at 11.50am.

On Saturday 21 October eleven firefighters from Clun completed a charity bike ride around Shropshire's Fire Stations, raising more than £2,000 for the Special Baby Care Unit at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and towards new facilities for the children's play area of Clun Memorial Hall.

A twenty year old woman was today carried to safety by firefighters from her burning flat in Craven Arms.

After receiving a call at 4.45am, three crews from Craven Arms, Ludlow and Church Stretton were sent to the scene and on arrival discovered smoke and flames coming from the window of a second floor flat.
