- Enable us to carry out our community safety duties
- Gather statistical information on the support needed within the communities we serve

We collect and use this information under The Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 and process it on the basis of complying with the legal obligations to which we are subject under this Act. We may process sensitive personal data on the basis of protecting the vital interests of individuals.
Collecting this information
We collect the information we need in order to be able to record your details and ensure we can provide you with the necessary support. If you decide you don't wish to give us some information, this will not affect the service you receive from us.
Storing this information
We will hold your information for five years after which time we will review it and consider your current circumstances.
Who we share this information with
We routinely share information collected during Safe and Well visits with:
- Local authorities
- Charities and support groups
- Health services
We share information with these groups under our powers in the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 to take any action we feel necessary in order to prevent someone coming to harm and in order for them to be able to provide you with help and support.
We do not share information without consent unless the law and our policies allow us to do so.
