At 08:24 on Monday, 29 August, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Oswestry.

3 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Ellesmere, Oswestry and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Short extension ladder
• Small gear

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

This incident involved a fire which had spread from the chimney flue to the roof space of a domestic property. There were no casualties.

7 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Church Stretton, Hodnet, Much Wenlock, Newport, Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Wellington. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police and a utility company.

This incident involved a fire at a semi detached residential property which spread to an adjacent building causing damage.

This incident involved a fire within an extraction unit which was extinguished by fire service personnel. One casualty left in the care of the ambulance service.

6 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Minsterley, Oswestry and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Fire involving 40 tonnes of woodchip in biomass boiler. Crews are using four breathing, 2 hose reel jets and 2 main jets to extinguish. Crews currently damping down rear of building. Assistance from Mid and West Wales Fire Service.
