4 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender and the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Attending crews used the following equipment:
4 cows rescued from the river Severn by using safety lines and a rigid inflatable boat.

At 01:21 on Saturday, 4 August, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Hinstock.
3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Market Drayton and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Crews came across a cow that was stuck over a 7 bar gate and trapped by its rear legs. The cow was not in distress so crews made the scene safe. Prior to the arrival of the specialist animal rescue teams, the farmer arrived with machinery and freed the cow.

Animal rescue involving one horse stuck in horsebox. Crews worked closely with vet to successfully release the horse using specialist equipment from the Rescue Tender.
