At 07:29 on Wednesday, 6 March, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Bishops Castle.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Clun and Craven Arms. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Positive Pressure Ventilation
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

This incident was reported as an automatic fire alarm. However, on arrival, crews discovered a small fire in a domestic property. Property 100% smokelogged. Crews extinguished fire and cleared smoke logging with positive pressure ventilation.

This incident was a false alarm caused by fumes from boiler activating smoke alarms within the property.

Reports of carbon monoxide detector activating. Crews from Bishops Castle and Montgomery attended incident. Alarm was caused by CO2 detector activating due to strong winds blowing smoke back down flue. Rooms were ventilated
