At 13:36 on Wednesday, 16 August, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Combine Harvester Fire in Ditton Priors.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Short extension ladder
• Thermal imaging camera

One combined harvester 50% destroyed by fire.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

• Small gear

Road traffic collision involving one van on its side and one hatchback vehicle into a hedgerow, no persons trapped, vehicles made electrically safe using small gear and crews used soil from hedge bank to soak up fuel spillage
