At 10:39 on Wednesday, 19 June, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Knighton.

2 fire appliances including the Pinzgauer and the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Clun. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Tractor involved in road traffic collision which had rolled over. Vehicle stabilised using Tirfor. Male casualty released from tractor and awaiting arrival of ambulance

Fire has involved 5 separate seats of fire on a Hillside which has now been extinguished by Fire Crews. Fire Service Drone has been deployed to check the area for any further fire spread.

4 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Bridgnorth, Clun and Craven Arms. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

This incident was a controlled burn involving two seats of fire. Crews extinguished one seat of fire and advice given to occupier
