At 01:16 on Thursday, 25 July, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Whittington.

6 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch, Bridgnorth, Ellesmere, Oswestry and Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Open water supply

Fire involving a range of agricultural buildings approx 40m x 40m x 10m. 3 hose reel jets and 1 covering jet in use to extinguish the fire.
