At 09:11 on Monday, 7 May, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Ellesmere.

2 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Ellesmere, Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Tweedale and Wem. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Fire in kitchen area of pub. 8 Breathing Apparatus, 2 Hose Reel Jets and 2 Covering Jets. All persons accounted for. 1 male suffering smoke inhalation.
