At 17:33 on Thursday, 1 September, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place.

3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Air Ambulance, the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Road traffic collision involving 2 saloon cars. A total of two people, one from each vehicle, released by Fire Service Personnel using holmatro cutting equipment. One was transferred to hospital via land ambulance and the other by air ambulance. The road will remain closed while Police carry out collision investigation.

At 02:23 on Sunday, 28 August, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Bales Of Straw Large in Ellerdine Heath.

4 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit were mobilised from Hodnet, Prees and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Hosereel jet
  • Main jet

Fire involving approximately 200 tonnes of hay bales. Crews protecting adjacent stack of hay bales and trees and hedge using hose reel jets and one main jet. Water supplied from pumping unit.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit and the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

RTC involving 1 articulated lorry in collision with a residential domestic property. No persons trapped, 1 casualty has safely exited the vehicle prior to emergency services arrival and is now being treated by paramedics and ambulance personnel. Small gear, short extension ladder, lighting and thermal imaging camera in use. Crews have cordoned the area for safety.
