At 14:16 on Thursday, 31 March, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as SSC Urgent in Shrewsbury.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Minsterley and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews were mobilised to a male who was trapped by the leg under a mini digger. The man was released prior to the arrival of the emergency services and is now being treated by ambulance for an injury to his left leg. No action by Fire Service Personnel.

At 04:10 on Sunday, 20 March, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Rtc Persons Trapped in Waterwheel, Minsterley.

3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Minsterley and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

• Cutters/Spreaders

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

RTC involving 1 car and 1 light goods van. Crews used Holmatro cutting equipment to free 1 male casualty from the van and 1 female casualty from the car, both conveyed to hospital by land ambulance. Crews also made both vehicles electrically safe.

2 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Minsterley, Shrewsbury and Telford Central. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Small gear
• Thermal imaging camera

Smoke issuing from fire in roof space of domestic property, aerial ladder platform requested but not required Crews dealt with the incident using one hose reel jet, thermal image camera and small gear
