Reports of fence panel smouldering after being on fire which proved to be fence and domestic rubbish on fire. Fire crews used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish fire.

At 00:19 on Friday, 9 November, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire.

5 fire appliances including the Heavy Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Church Stretton, Craven Arms, Much Wenlock and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet
• Open water supply

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Fire involving one four bay agricultural barn containing approximately 100 tonnes of straw fully involved in fire. Crews using hose reel jets, and main jets to extinguish the fire, as well as protecting surrounding buildings.
