At 18:06 on Friday, 26 July, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place.

4 fire appliances including the Environmental Protection Unit and the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Ellesmere, Oswestry, Tweedale and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

• Environment agency equipment

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Environment Agency, the Highways Agency and the Police.

Reports of a milk tanker on its side crews used Environment Agency equipment to prevent milk entering the water way, incident left in care of Police, Recovery, Highways and the Environment Agency.

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and 1 thermal imaging camera to extinguish fire.
