At 15:20 on Monday, 11 September, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shifnal.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Telford Central.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Approximately 5 square metres of grass and undergrowth alight, crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish, a member of the public also used buckets of water prior to arrival of the fire service. This fire was deliberate ignition
