At 10:33 on Saturday, 4 October, 2014, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Persons Trapped Below Ground in Telford.

5 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Telford, Tweedale and Wellington.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Short extension ladder

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

1 male rescued 1m below ground in concrete footings 2 Breathing Apparatus and ladders in use. Police and Ambulance in attendance.
