Incident involving 1 wheelie bin and 1m of fence alight at the side of the property. Fire was caused by hot ash being placed in the bin. Fire extinguished using domestic hosepipe.

At 15:20 on Sunday, 27 December, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Aircraft Light in Sleap, Harmer Hill.

2 fire appliances including the Foam Pod, the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit and the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Prees, Tweedale, Wellington, Wem and Whitchurch. Operations and Hazmat officers were in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Report of a light aircraft which would be landing at Sleap airfield without any landing gear. Aircraft landed safely prior to arrival of fire service.
