1 JCB fully destroyed by fire- crews extinguished using 2 hose reel jets and 2 breathing apparatus

At 13:12 on Saturday, 18 May, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Prees Heath.

4 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Hodnet, Wellington, Wem and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Highways Agency, the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

RTC involving 1 articulated lorry on its side with grain spilled on the carriageway in both directions. No persons trapped and Highways attending to clear carriageway.
