At 16:21 on Sunday, 3 July, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Persons Trapped In Soft Ground in Newport .
3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Telford Central and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Attending crews used the following equipment:
1 female stuck in a 4m trench with 1m of water up to waist unable to get out. Crews used a short extension ladder, throw lines and life jackets to assist female out of trench.

2 Persons trapped on soft ground. Thorough search carried of river bank from Sydney Avenue to 500m past Telford Way no sign of persons trapped. Shropshire Council in attendance closing footpath.

At 00:25 on Tuesday, 18 August, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Persons Trapped In Soft Ground in Shrewsbury.
2 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .
1 person fallen into workmans ditch being treated by paramedics. ! person rescued from ditch by FRS using line safety equipment and Aerial Ladder Platform, Person conveyed to hospital by ambulance
