At 15:13 on Tuesday, 26 November, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury.

4 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Baschurch, Minsterley, Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

Also at the scene of the incident were: a vet.

Report of two cows stuck in lagoon on farmland. One cow had self extricated and one cow released from lagoon by fire service personnel using a rescue path and line rescue. Owner and vet in attendance alongside crews.

At 22:05 on Monday, 20 February, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Wrexham.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Oswestry and Telford Central. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

Two casualties fallen down 30ft embankment. Both casualties fully extricated with help from Fire Service Personnel using rope rescue and HART team and now in care of ambulance service.

At 18:59 on Thursday, 21 January, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Flooding.

2 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Baschurch and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

1 vehicle stuck in flood water. 1 male rescued from vehicle using rescue pad

Do not attempt to drive through flooded roads or fords and do not attempt to walk through flooded areas. Children should not be allowed to play in flood water, due to contamination. Keep an eye on weather reports on local television or radio channels and look after your neighbours.
