Fire In Open

At 13:10 on Tuesday, 2 August, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shifnal.

4 fire appliances including the Water Carrier were mobilised from Albrighton and Telford Central. Operations, Safety and Principal officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

large area of scorched earth in woodland with pockets of burning materials. Crews using hosereel jet to extinguished isolated fires in the area
