At 09:28 on Wednesday, 23 November, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Hazardous Substances in Oswestry.

4 fire appliances including the Environmental Protection Unit were mobilised from Ellesmere, Oswestry and Tweedale. Operations and Hazmat officers were in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Decontamination equipment

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

This incident involved a substance which has leaked onto the yard. Crews made the area safe and safely contained the substance.
