At 19:16 on Tuesday, 17 January, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Owsestry.

3 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Tweedale. An Operations officer was in attendance.

1 adult male rescued from stranded vehicle in floodwater.
