At 05:39 on Monday, 11 December, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Oswestry.

3 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Oswestry and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

Driver of one car stranded in floodwater, self rescued prior to Fire Service arrival. Crew provided 1st aid assistance awaiting arrival of Ambulance Service personnel.
