At 18:19 on Tuesday, 23 December, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Baschurch and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

One person assisted from water by passers-by prior to arrival of Fire Service personnel, Fire Service engaged in 1st aid only.
