At 16:27 on Thursday, 12 March, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Shrewsbury.

4 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

1 person rescued from river by a member of the public before Fire Service arrival. Attended to by Ambulance crews on scene.
