At 16:03 on Thursday, 27 June, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Telford.

4 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Tweedale.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Reports of three males in river following capsize of canoe. All persons accounted for.
