At 10:40 on Saturday, 30 May, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue.

4 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit and the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Specialist water rescue crews have been mobilised to search river following upturned canoe being found by a member of the public. Following a 5 mile inter-agency search of the river no casualty was located and crews have been withdrawn.
