At 20:56 on Saturday, 31 October, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Water Rescue.

3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Newport and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

1 male rescued from water and left in the care of the Ambulance service
