At 15:33 on Wednesday, 4 January, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire Persons Reported in Shifnal.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central and Wellington. Operations and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Air Ambulance and the Land Ambulance Service .

Fire in first floor bedroom - one female rescued by fire service personnel. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Reports of a fire in one of the hotel rooms. Crews extinguished using 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and 1 covering jet. 1 casualty suffering smoke inhalation left in the care of West Midlands Ambulance.

This incident involved a three storey domestic property. Fire is believed to have been caused by an unattended candle. No persons reported.
