At 06:46 on Sunday, 21 February, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in shrewsbury.

5 fire appliances were mobilised from Baschurch, Prees and Shrewsbury. Operations, Safety and Principal officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service , the Police and Shropshire Council.

Fire involving a mid terrace property, which has caused a large amount of smoke logging in adjacent properties. 1 female suffering smoke inhalation and shock has been treated by ambulance. Crews are currently using 4 breathing apparatus, 3 main jets, 2 hose reel jets, two 9 metre ladders, 1 short extension ladder and small tools. The incident has been separated into 3 sectors. 20 residents are currently being evacuated.

3 fire appliances including the Pinzgauer were mobilised from Church Stretton, Cleobury Mortimer and Craven Arms.

• Knapsacks

Approximately three hectares of gorse alight, crews used one hose reel jet, knapsack sprayer and beaters to extinguish

Fire on ground floor of a mid terrace property involving an oil filled radiator. Extinguished prior to arrival of Fire Service. Property heavily smoked logged. 1 elderly female rescued from property prior to arrival of Fire Service. Fire investigation carried out.
