At 00:30 on Monday, 1 January, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Ellesmere.
2 fire appliances were mobilised from Baschurch and Ellesmere. Operations and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Covering jet
- Hosereel jet
- Short extension ladder
- Thermal imaging camera
Fire involving upstairs bedroom of an end of terraced 3 bedroomed domestic property. Fire extinguished using 2 hose reels jets, 1 covering jet and 4 breathing apparatus. Fire Investigation carried out.

4 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Hodnet, Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.
RTC involving 1 lorry overturned in field. 1 male casualty now self extricated from HGV using short extension ladder. Crews now making vehicle safe.
