Emollient Products involved in fires

Received:

Monday, 30 November, 2020

Responded:

Tuesday, 29 December, 2020

Request detail:

Dear Fire and Rescue Service (FRS),

I am researching the number of fires relating to emollient products.

Therefore, under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like the following information if held:

1) Since 2015, how many fires were responded to by your FRS in which investigators established or believe that an emollient product was either a primary or contributory factor in the fire? Please break this down year by year.

An emollient is a moisturising treatment applied to the skin, typically used to manage eczema or psoriasis.

Cause of fire in retail premises

Received:

Wednesday, 25 November, 2020

Responded:

Tuesday, 22 December, 2020

Request detail:

I’m writing to request your help under the Freedom of Information act to identify the causes of fires in retail premises, as identified in incident reports or other records. I’m specifically interested in convenience stores and newsagents but I understand the way data is held is likely to make such a specific request an unfair burden on your resources as it could require manual searching and identification of premises types.

Specifically, I have concern that poor upkeep of commercial refrigerators in these premises may be a leading cause of incidents.

Oswestry Call Outs

Received:

Thursday, 22 October, 2020

Responded:

Monday, 16 November, 2020

Request detail:

Please may I request some information regarding the appliances?

The information I am looking for is:-

1. Apart from the Water Ladder, the Rescue Pump and the Incident Support Unit, which are based at Oswestry Station, how often do other appliances get called out from other stations to shouts in Oswestry?

2. Which of these other appliances get called out to Oswestry [e.g. Arial Ladder Platform]?

3. How often do these other appliances get called out to Oswestry?

I am only looking for shouts in the Town itself, not the surrounding areas.
