5 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Telford Central. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Fire in derelict pub, crews using four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and aerial ladder platform for access

At 15:43 on Monday, 29 January, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Boots, Pride Hill, Shrewsbury .

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington.

Crews were called out to a report of smell of smoke in the basement of the shop. Full investigations carried out by fire crews and the incident was found to be a small fire which had involved a fluorescent light fitting. Thermal image camera used to check for hot spots and monitor temperature of basement.
