At 20:05 on Thursday, 7 April, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Sunnybank Road, Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Fire involving chimney of semi detached dwelling house. Aerial ladder platform in use to assist with access. Chimney rods and thermal imaging camera in use to locate and extinguish fire.

6 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform and the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Albrighton, Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury and Tweedale. Operations and Hazmat officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Chimney rods
• Small gear
• Stirrup pump
• Thermal imaging camera
