At 20:20 on Monday, 9 May, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Train Fire.
2 fire appliances were mobilised from Church Stretton, Craven Arms and Ludlow.
Incident involved one train carriage carrying timber which was involved in fire. Fire crews used 3 high pressue hose reels and 2 thermal image cameras.

At 12:16 on Friday, 31 July, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Train Fire in Gobowen.
9 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit and the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Ellesmere, Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Tweedale, Wellington and Whitchurch. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.
Reports of train on fire at Gobowen Railway Station. Alarm activated in middle carriage of 3 carriages. All passengers were evacuated by rail staff and fire service. Thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots. No casualties

12 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Pinzgauer and the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Baschurch, Church Stretton, Minsterley, Shrewsbury and Wellington.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
Fire involving alternator in rear carriage of a train. Fire crews have now extinguished fire using 1 hose reel jet and 1 covering jet in use.
