At 12:16 on Wednesday, 13 May, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Bomb Alert in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

A hand grenade was found during a house clearance but was found to be a training device and no explosives were present, the army attended and disposed of the device, no action by fire service personnel
